At the heart of walking in Essex

Rail Crossing Public Inquiry.

At mid day on Friday 20th October the Inspector suspended the Inquiry until January.

I would ask that everyone pass the word as it would be very unfortunate if members travel to the programmed meetings only to find them shut.

The reason why this has been suspended is that Network Rail have failed to undertake legal requirements under the Transport and Works Act.

The only discussions that have taken place have been at a strategic level and the issue of the crossings was not raised.

We now have time to rethink our position and if we what we can add to the fight.
